My name is Greta Schoenberg, and I am a Fall Fundraising Coordinator of the Campus Chapter of Habitat for Humanity at the University of Wisconsin – Madison . In particular, I am the coordinator for the Rake-a-Thon fundraiser, taking place on Saturday, October 23rd, Sunday, October 24th, as well as Saturday, October 30th, and Sunday, October 31st this year.
Rake-a-Thon is our chapter’s second largest fundraiser, in which we rake the yards of local Madison homeowners in return for a donation. The suggested donation is $25 per person, per hour, with teams of 4-6 volunteers raking each yard.
We have had a lot of success in the surrounding neighborhoods of Madison in the past and we are hoping we can continue that.
I am writing to ask if there is any way for an email to be sent out to the village at large advertising this event? Or perhaps a flier posted on the website itself? If not, would it be possible for me to obtain a mailing list? I have attached the flier that would be sent out to your neighborhood’s residents, for your convenience.
