The Maple Bluff Fire Department and the Blooming Grove, Burke, Maple Bluff Ambulance District are currently accepting applications for the position of Intern Firefighter/EMTs

The Maple Bluff Fire Department operates out of one station (18 Oxford Place, Madison WI, 53704) on the eastern shore of Lake Mendota in Dane County, WI. We are a combination department consisting of three full-time staff, 20 volunteers, and seven Intern Firefighter/EMTs. Our apparatus consists of two fire engines. The Maple Bluff Fire Department provides fire prevention, suppression, inspections, vehicle extrication, ice/water rescue, EMS assistance, and other calls for service in our community. We also respond with neighboring fire departments when requested. Some of these departments include: Blooming Grove Fire Dept., Cottage Grove Fire Dept., Deforest Fire/Rescue, City of Madison Fire/Rescue, Town of Madison Fire Dept., Monona Fire Dept., City of Sun Prairie Fire Dept., Shorewood Hills Fire Dept., and Truax Fire Dept.(Dane County Regional Airport).

Prevention/Education:
The Maple Bluff Fire Department offers Fire Safety Presentations free of charge. Tours of the Fire Station and Fire Safety Presentations are a great idea for birthday parties and school groups. Tours and presentations may be scheduled by calling the on duty fire officer at: (608)244-3390. (48 hours notice is preferred) Please visit the following sites for more information on fire safety.
