Village Residence Privileges at the Maple Bluff Country Club
As a resident of the Village of Maple Bluff, you have certain privileges that allow you to enjoy the facilities of Maple Bluff Country Club. We would like to take this opportunity to review these with you.
CLUB MEMBERSHIP
Golfing Membership is available at the current initiation fee of $4,500 (Non resident is $6,500).
Social Membership or a Social with Pool and Tennis (SPT) Membership is available to you for one-half the initiation fee for non-residents. You have received a letter regarding our special introductory membership. See special introductory fee’s below.
A Village resident who is a Social or SPT member and wishes to change to a Golfing membership will not be held on the waiting list for more than one year (currently there is no wait list).
All Village residents need two sponsors, one of whom needs to write a letter of recommendation.
USE OF CLUB FACILITIES
You may have lunch, dinner, or sponsor an event with as many guests as the club can accommodate, up to three times per year. Per club policy, booking a private room may require a non-refundable deposit to secure the date; this deposit will be applied to the total charges. Your account may be settled in cash or the club will be happy to bill you. Payment is due upon receipt of billing, 1.5% interest is added after 30 days. We encourage you to make reservations for such occasions by calling 249-2144, when doing so you need only to give your name and advise that you are a Village resident.
- You may play golf up to three times per year with the following understanding:
- You are responsible for all green fees for both yourself and your guests.
- Limit of three guests per round and guest play is subject to normal guest guidelines.
- Appropriate dress code applies (golf slacks or Bermuda length shorts and shirts with collars; no denim allowed except for designated events).
- Make reservations for tee times with the Golf Shop at 249-2000. Tee times may be reserved up to one week in advance of the day you wish to play.
- Local MBCC rules and established USGA Golf regulations govern play.
- Maple Bluff is a spikeless facility and you are required to wear spikeless shoes.
Village resident golf clinics will be offered three times throughout the summer at a rate of $15.00 per family, per clinic. Clinics are available to families. Clinics are also available to Social, with Pool and Tennis members of Maple Bluff Country Club. The topics will include full swing clinics, short game, putting and etiquette. We will also give you information about golfing privileges as a Village Resident and details on how you can join Maple Bluff Country Club as a golfing member. Appropriate dress (Bermuda shorts or slacks, collared shirts) and your own equipment are required. Clinics will be held at 5:00 p.m. at the driving range. The following dates are for the golf clinics, June 28th, July 12th and August 16th. You must contact our golf professional, Brian Bishop, prior to attending at 249-2000.
Village residents have use of the swimming pool from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. each Sunday and Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Pool phone is 249-1487. Village residents must register at the pool upon arrival.
The MBCC Swim Team will kick off its 2006 season with registration at the club on Saturday, April 1, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The coaches and pool managers will be there to answer your questions as well as representatives with team apparel for sale; pizza and beverages will be available for purchase. Join us at the pool on Thursday, May 25, 2006 at 5:00 p.m. for an informational evening open swim for the team. A stroke clinic will be offered for swim team members from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. June 6 through June 9 this clinic is recommended. At the conclusion of the stroke clinic, a child must be able to swim one length of the pool unaided and without stopping or the child will not be eligible to participate on the swim team. Village Residents are encouraged to participate.
Daily morning swim/dive practices are a must for all swim team members. Swim/dive team practice starts June 13th.
The pool, baby pool and diving well are closed during swim team practices to all persons other than members of the swim team.
The fee for the team is $25, which will help to cover the event/entry fees, awards, etc. Parents of swim/dive team members will be expected to help during our home meets. There will be a sign-up sheet at the first meeting.
The MBCC tennis courts are available Friday from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. Village residents must register at the courts upon arrival.
Children (ages 13-16 depending on skill level) of Village residents may join and participate with the MBCC Tennis Team. Playing time is from 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Maple Bluff plays teams from other country clubs in the area. There are three, 3-week sessions. The fee for each session is $95.00. We encourage you to talk with the Tennis Professional, Mark Chullino, at 249-5101 for further details.
